Actor Sujay Reu, who recently captivated audiences with his powerful portrayal of Lord Rama in Shrimad Ramayan, got candid about his deep-rooted bond with his mother, Arti Reu, this Mother’s Day. Reflecting on his journey, Sujay shared how his mother has been the pillar of his life — both emotionally and artistically.
“My bond with my mother is something that’s indescribable in words,” he said. “I feel very fortunate for the upbringing she gave me and my sister and the values she instilled in us. When you're young, you don’t realise it, but as you grow older, you understand that whatever you are today is only because of your parents and their values.”
Even with his rising fame, Sujay remains deeply grounded, crediting his mother for being his unwavering support system. “My mother has stood by me through thick and thin. An actor’s life goes through many ups and downs, and she has always been my rock. She’s not just my support but also my most honest critic,” he shared.
Interestingly, Sujay’s mother is a trained Kathak dancer, which gives her a special connection to his creative world. “She understands the nuances of performance, and she was extremely excited when I was cast as Ramji. Her encouragement means everything,” Sujay added.
When it comes to celebrating Mother’s Day, Sujay keeps it heartfelt and simple. “We usually go out for a family lunch or I take her shopping. She’s a foodie, so it’s all about good food and quality time,” he smiled.
With a career that began in 2012 and spans shows like Shastri Sisters, Tantra, Siya Ke Ram, and more, Sujay Reu’s journey is backed not just by talent, but by the love and strength of a mother who believed in him every step of the way.
