When are the Premier League fixtures for 2025/2026 released? The fixtures for the 2025/26 Premier League season will be released at 09:00 BST on Wednesday, June 18 2025. The upcoming season will comprise 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds.
All 380 Premier League match dates will be made available at that time on the Premier League's website and through the Premier League's official app.
When does the 2025/2026 season start? The Premier League has announced that the 2025/26 season will kick off on Saturday, August 16. The league stated that this start date allows for a maximum rest period of 83 clear days from the end of the previous season.
Additionally, the schedule is designed to provide more rest time for players during the festive match-round period, with no two rounds occurring within 60 hours of each other.
In a move that may disappoint some fans, there will be no league fixtures on Christmas Eve next season. This decision aligns with commitments made to clubs to alleviate the typically congested Christmas and New Year schedule.
As for the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, the final round of games is set to take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026. This ensures that the season wraps up before the FIFA 2026 World Cup call-up period begins, with the tournament that's to be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, commencing on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
When will the transfer windows open and close? The summer transfer window for Premier League clubs will open earlier this year, between Sunday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 10. This is due to an exceptional registration period for the expanded Club World Cup which runs from June 15 to July 13.
The window will then reopen on Monday, June 16 until Deadline Day on Monday, September 1. Notably, this summer's transfer window will close four hours earlier at 7pm, rather than the usual 11pm deadline.
The winter transfer window will be open from 1st January to 2nd February, however, the final decision on closing times is yet to be made.
