Scottie Scheffler etched his name into the annals of history by securing his second consecutive triumph at the Memorial Tournament, yet it was his toddler son, Bennett, who unexpectedly grabbed the limelight at Muirfield Village Golf Club. On Sunday, 's mastery was on full display as the 28-year-old entered the elite club alongside Tiger Woods as the only players to clinch back-to-back Memorial Tournaments in the PGA Tour's storied history.

Despite a stumble with a double-bogey in round two, Scheffler rebounded impressively over the next couple of days, chalking up his seventh consecutive top-10 placement and snagging his third win in just four outings. After capping off his day with a steady 2-under 70 last round, Scheffler beelined to share the moment with his wife Meredith and their young son Bennett. However, the world No. 1 golfer was in for a shock once he realised Bennett had endured a nappy mishap, reports .

As Scheffler connected with Meredith in an affectionate hug, he then received Bennett, unwittingly donning a distinct brown stain across the backend of his baby grow. "He had so much fun watching you," Meredith said, followed by pointing out: "He has poop all over his back."

Without missing a beat, Scheffler took the minor calamity in stride, quipping: "That'll happen." Social media users didn't miss the chance for a chuckle over the snippet, with comments flooding in. "Bennett Scheffler definitely had a blowout earlier. Being a dad is usually accompanied by perfect timing like that," chuckled one X user, while another chimed in: "That's the only time Scottie has been relatable all day. Dad life!"

A third quipped: "Bennett Scheffler, much like his dad, knows a thing or two about blowouts." The CBS Sports presenter, Amanda Balionis, joined in with the jesting: "Lolol sorry Bennett about posting your blowout mom and dad can use this as blackmail when you're older."

Subsequently, in conversation with Balionis, Scheffler divulged insights into Meredith's indispensable influence on his life, both on the fairway and at home. "Talk about what this balance looks like and the support Meredith provides that allows you to be the best father, husband you can be while also being the number one player in the world," Balionis inquired.

Clutching onto Bennett, Scheffler chuckled: "You're really trying to make me emotional now," sparking laughter between him and Balionis. "I mean, my wife is my biggest supporter. She's my best friend, and this is our life out here on the road. It's been a lot of fun and I've had some special memories at this tournament. Yeah, definitely couldn't do it without her.

"It's always a hard week this week. I mean, it's so challenging to play this tournament. I battled really hard over the weekend and Ben [Griffin] made things interesting there down the stretch. It was overall a great week, and definitely proud to be shaking Mr. Nicklaus' hand at the end of another good week."
