ITV Bullseye viewers have voiced the same complaints about the brand-newreboot just minutes into the inaugural episode.
Following the Christmas special last year,Bullseye returned to ITV screens this evening (November 9) for a brand-new series.
The enormously popular game show, which was a hit in the 1980s, has finally been revived as Freddie Flintoff assumes the role of the programme's host, filling the shoesof the late Jim Bowen.
The revival sticks to the original format, featuring pairs of contestants: one amateur darts player, known as the "thrower," and their teammate, referred to as the "knower."
Together, they will unite their abilities, hurling darts at game boards whilst answering questions correctly, all in the hopes of securing points and prizes, as well as "Bully's legendary mystery star prize," reports the Mirror.
Also joining Freddie Flintoff are Master of Ceremonies Richard Ashdown and Luke 'The Nuke' Littler for the four-part series.
However, as the brand-new reboot launches on ITV tonight, fans have flocked to social media to voice their grievances just minutes into the episode.
Taking to X, one person wrote: "Please don't cut the theme tune short! #Bullseye."
Another said, "Why not use the old introduction? The nation would smile and feel warm inside. The Peter Kay crowd would love it."
A third added: "They couldn't afford the full theme tune for #bullseye ?"
However, one new addition to the show did not sit well with viewers - the introduction of audience applause. The crowd was seen cheering on the contestants during each round, both when they answered questions and threw darts.
One disgruntled viewer posted on X: "Why are the audience clapping when they pick a category?"
Another commented: "#bullseye too much clapping." A third vented: "#bullseye stop f***** clapping for f*** sake."
A fourth echoed: "Too much audience clapping in this new Bullseye."
The revamped version will be a four-part series, as ITV teases: "Join Freddie Flintoff and Luke Littler as the iconic game show returns! The stakes are higher than ever, but who will win the speedboat?"
However, not everyone agreed as one person wrote: "Im enjoying it for what it is and I love Freddie Flintoff."
Another said, "I love it so much."
A third echoed: "You can't beat a bit of bully. Used to love watching it with my grandad, bless him, when I was a very young lad."
Brand new Bullseye returned tonight from 8pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player
