Arunachal Pradesh has recorded the heaviest monsoon rainfall globally this season. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared a chilling video on social media showing a man crossing a precarious traditional hanging bridge in Anjaw district, located near the tri-junction of India, China, and Myanmar borders. He urged residents to stay cautious and assured government support for affected communities.

Tragic Losses and Government Compensation
The relentless rains have caused landslides and floods, resulting in the deaths of nine people in Arunachal Pradesh alone over the last 24 hours. A vehicle carrying seven members from two families was swept away on National Highway 13, killing everyone inside instantly. The state government announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for each victim and promised all possible assistance. Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed condolences and urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.
