Manchester United will lick their wounds this week after falling to a 3-0 loss in the Manchester derby. Erling Haaland bagged a brace after Phil Foden's opener to ensure Manchester City ended the weekend with three points and bragging rights.
The result will only increase the scrutiny on Ruben Amorim, who has overseen just eight wins from 31 Premier League games since taking the reins at Old Trafford last November. And off the back of another disappointing performance, the inquest has already begun.
For his part, Amorim insists he will not deviate from his principles as the scrutiny grows on him following another loss. The United chief will look to regroup before they host Chelsea in their next fixture on Saturday evening.

Fernandes issues demandBruno Fernandes has called on his Manchester United team-mates to be braver and take more risks as they bid to make amends following their chastening 3-0 loss in the Manchester derby.
Manchester City cantered to an easy win without hitting top gear on another difficult afternoon for Fernandes and Co. And speaking post-match, United's captain said: "We need to score goals and not concede. We keep creating chances but were not able to score as much as we wanted. We have to be more in control. We concede three goals we could have avoided.
"When we go we have to take more risks and be more brave with the last line. When we pass to our centre-backs they go three against three and squeeze so much. The space is very narrow."
Keane singles stars out
Roy Keane tore into Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes for mistakes in the build-up to Phil Foden's opening goal in the Manchester derby.
Foden arrived unmarked in the penalty area to plant a pinpoint header beyond the despairing Altay Bayindir in the 18th minute. And Keane felt that neither Shaw or Fernandes covered themselves in glory during the passage of play.
After pointing out Shaw's positioning was all wrong when Jeremy Doku was bearing down on the penalty area, Keane added: "It's like he [Shaw] has thrown the towel in. We know people can run off the back of Bruno, that's been going on for years. But my goodness, even before that, you've got two midfielders - they are too square. One pass takes them out. Far too easy. Shaw just throws the towel in there."
Amorim's message on job
Ruben Amorim insists he will not change his tactics as the pressure grows on him following Sunday's defeat to Manchester City.
Amorim has made no secret of the fact he is wedded to his preferred 3-4-3 formation and made it clear that the only way United will see a change in their style is if they opt to make a change in the dugout following the loss against City.
