Ibiza Final Boss addresses dad's criminal history - 'I hope he's a better person'

After shooting to viral fame months back, 'Ibiza Final Boss' star Jack Kay has become a household name, and he's opened up about his meteoric rise in new Channel 4 documentary, The Ibiza Final Boss: UNTOLD.

However, with fame comes the deep delve into the personal life. When he arrived back in Newcastle from his life changing trip, Jack's hangover hits along with the reality of the public spotlight.

It was later revealed that his father, John Kay had been jailed for armed robbery, and had been in and out of prison for over a decade, the Daily Mail reports. His latest stint in prison came in 2023, where he was jailed for two and a half years. It marked the third time he had been jailed for burglary.

On Christmas Eve 2021, John broke into an elderly man's home, stealing a pair of keys from his house and driving off. In 2015, John was imprisoned for stealing £700 worth of jewellery and personal items from a woman's home, and in 2009, was jailed for an armed robbery at a petrol station.

Addressing the situation in the documentary, Jack said: "When I seen articles about my dad, it was pretty s**t to be honest but that’s what they do don't they?"

"At the end of the day, that’s my dad, it's not me. Articles are trying say I’m like him, but that’s not the case.

"My dad has made wrong choices in his life and I hope he gets out, when he gets out and he’s a better person."

The 26-year-old continued: “It didn’t affect us seeing them, it just agitates you. Why do you want to post things about people to try and bring them down?" he questioned.

"I’m on an up at the minute, and people are writing things about your family to bring you down.”

Elsewhere in the documentary, the star opened up about another side to his family life,his 'secret' daughter. Speaking about his new found fame, he revealed: "I'm trying to keep myself on a level head with it because I've got a little daughter back home."

"I want to make sure she's set for life and that actually is the ambition for us. I had nothing growing up so to give her the life when she's older, she can have anything she wants, is just unbelievable."

However, no further details were given and its not yet known how old his daughter is, or who her mother is. Jack was previously linked to Alisha Cook, however, she reportedly dumped him while he was on holiday in Ibiza - shortly before he found fame.
