Members of the USARyder Cupteam have opened up on the impact President Donald Trump's presence will have on them this week. Keegan Bradley, captain of Team USA, will face Team Europe, captained by Luke Donald at Bethpage Black in New York.
Bryson DeChambeau and Sam Burns are two members of the USA team who have discussed the possibility of Trump attending the tournament on Friday for the opening day. Trump is expected to be present at Bethpage Black in New York for the tournament's first day.
Thursday evening will see both captains announce their foursomes pairings, which will then tee off on Friday morning (midday UK time). DeChambeau, who has been playing on the LIV Golf tour since 2023, has outlined why the US president's attendance will significantly affect him and his colleagues.

“I hope it will inspire us to victory," DeChambeau said whilst speaking to reporters on Thursday. "I think it will be a great force for us to get a lot of people on our side. It’s going to be an electric environment."
Fellow American Burns is equally thrilled at the opportunity to compete in the Ryder Cup before President Trump. Burns will be participating in the tournament for his second appearance after his inaugural showing two years ago in Rome.
"I think it's a huge honour to have our President come to this event and support our team," said Burns when he spoke to reporters this week.
"This is about representing our country and representing the United States of America, and who better to represent that than the President. I think we are all excited."
Team Europe will head into the Ryder Cup determined to retain the trophy they secured in Rome in 2023. A commanding 16.5-11.5 triumph over Team USA saw Donald's squad claim an emphatic victory on home turf last time around.
It was in 2021 that Team Europe last took on Team USA on American soil, where they suffered a heavy 19-9 defeat at Whistling Straits. The last time Europe managed to clinch the Ryder Cup across the Atlantic was in 2012 with the legendary Miracle at Medinah.
