Ange Postecoglou has been announced as Nottingham Forest's new head coach - just hours after it was confirmed that Nuno Espirito Santo had been relieved of his duties by the club's top brass.
Postecoglou, 60, was unattached after leaving Tottenham earlier this summer but has had no shortage of interest in his brief time away from the dugout after guiding the north London outfit to their first major trophy in 17 years just weeks before the club's controversial decision to sack him.
Nottingham Forest were the latest club to be linked with the Australian on Tuesday after announcing that Nuno had been sacked in the early hours of the morning.
The news comes as no surprise following an explosive press conference from Nuno prior to the international break where he confessed that his relationship with Forest's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, had effectively broken down. And Marinakis has moved swiftly to install Postecoglou ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture with Arsenal.

It emerged last week in Turkey, via Sport Witness, that Postecoglou had declined the opportunity to discuss the Fenerbahce vacancy following the departure of Jose Mourinho. Postecoglou informed the Super Lig outfit that he would be waiting for an offer to arise from one of Europe's top five leagues before committing to any new role.
