Saturday Kitchen was plunged into mayhem as Matt Tebbutt made a blunder and confessed: "I've messed up!"
The TV chef was meant to be whisking up some meringue for a Bombe Alaska cake being crafted by baker Helen Goh on Saturday's episode of the programme (September 13), when he owned up to his error.
Looking embarrassed and chuckling, he turned to the BBC show's celebrity guest Clare Balding - who is also a presenter - and asked if she had any live television "tips" for him.

Matt's blunder happened whilst he was attempting to chat and prepare the meringue, reports the Express.
He suddenly began looking awkward and asked the crew: "Can I have an egg, please?"
When he was questioned about what occurred, he admitted he had made an mistake.
"This is live," he said. "It happens. Let's go over it. Basically, if you're making meringue, you don't want any of the egg yolk in there because it's not going to wick, right?"
Helen responded: "So this is the thing about baking. People say it's really therapeutic because you have to kind of focus."
"Yeah, that is my issue," Matt chuckled.
"It's not easy baking and chatting, right?" Helen concurred. "But we are going to do it."
Matt then questioned presenter Clare: "Does this happen to you, Clare, on live telly? Things go wrong?"
"I'm here for tips!" he laughed.
She recommended Matt should simply "style it out", reassuring the TV personality: "It's never a mistake. It's just a learning experience."
As Matt hurried to whip up another batch of meringue, he admitted that he was "panicking inside".

However, Helen encouraged him, saying: "Keep going, keep going."
Luckily, he succeeded, producing a fresh bowl of the light mixture that was swiftly piped onto the cake.
The dessert was a hit with Clare and the other guests, with Matt receiving compliments for his "glossy" meringue and the pudding hailed as "amazing".
Saturday Kitchen is broadcast on BBC One on Saturdays at 10am.
