Pitru Paksha 2025: The 15 days from Pratipada to Amavasya of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month are called Pitru Paksha or Shradh Paksha. During this period, there is a tradition to remember the ancestors and pay tribute to them. It is believed that during these days, the ancestors come to earth to meet their children and bless them.

There are many rules regarding food and daily routine in Pitru Paksha, which are considered necessary to follow. Manglik and auspicious work is also prohibited at this time.
