Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals will be back in action as IPL resumes after a 10-day break. This will be the first match since the tournament was suspended due to increasing tensions between India and Pakistan.
After the washed out game on Saturday, RR will host PBKS at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday at 3:30 pm.
With just 3 wins in 12 matches, RR are already knocked out of the tournament, while PBKS are fighting for a place in the top four, and possibly even in the top 2. They are currently placed third with 15 points in 11 matches.
The hosts, led by Riyan Parag in the absence of Sanju Samson, will also miss the services of ace pacer Jofra Archer. However, Samson is likely to make a comeback and lead the side again.
PBKS, on the other hand have a major setback as the Australian trio of Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie and Josh Inglis have not returned. Mitchell Owen and Kyle Jamieson join the squad to replace the injured Glenn Maxwell and Lockie Ferguson.
