Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday confirmed that the BrahMos missiles were used during India's military operations to strike Pakistani terror-outfits during Operation Sindoor.
"You must have seen a glimpse of the BrahMos missile during Operation Sindoor. If you didn't, then just ask the people of Pakistan about the power of the BrahMos missile," Adityanath said during an address to the state.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow.
During the keynote address, Yogi reiterated India's stance on terrorism, saying that 'any act of terrorism' will be considered an 'act of war'.

"PM Narendra Modi has announced that any act of terrorism going forward will be considered an act of war. The problem of terrorism can not be solved till we don't crush it completely. To crush terrorism, we all have to fight together in one voice under PM Narendra Modi's leadership," said Yogi.
Terrorism can never accept the language of love. It will have to be answered in its own language. Through Operation Sindoor, India has given a message to the whole world, he added.
Earlier, India debunked Pakistan's claims of having taken down S-400 Sudharshan Air Defence systems and the BrahMos missiles. During a press briefing on Operation Sindoor, Indian Army Colonel Sofia Qureshi confirmed that these claims were part of a misinformation campaign against India.
"Pakistan claimed that it damaged our S400 and Brahmos missile base with its JF 17, which is completely wrong. Secondly, it also ran a misinformation campaign that our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Nalia and Bhuj were damaged, and its misinformation is also completely wrong," Colonel Qureshi had said.

Amid escalating military tensions with Pakistan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow.
Developed at a cost of ₹300 crore, the facility will produce the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile—one of the fastest in the world—with a range of 290 to 400 km and a top speed of Mach 2.8. The missile, jointly developed by India and Russia under the BrahMos Aerospace venture, can be launched from land, sea, or air and operates on a "fire and forget" principle.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the new facility is a key component of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor and underscores India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing. In addition to missile production, the complex will handle integration, testing, and the development of aerospace-grade materials.
