In a powerful statement on Friday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat lauded the Indian government’s decisive military action, Operation Sindoor, which targeted Pakistan-based terrorists and their support systems in the wake of the brutal attack on Hindu tourists at Pahalgam. Bhagwat emphasized that such actions were essential for India’s national security and were pivotal in restoring the self-respect and morale of the nation.
RSS Chief’s Strong Endorsement of Operation Sindoor
Mohan Bhagwat expressed strong support for Operation Sindoor, praising the government and the armed forces for their swift and decisive action against Pakistan-based terrorist groups. He described the operation as an unavoidable response to the attack on unarmed Indian tourists and the broader threat posed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. “This action to serve justice to the victims of the brutal massacre has enhanced the self-respect and morale of the entire country,” Bhagwat stated. He further asserted that military action against terrorists, their infrastructure, and support systems in Pakistan was necessary for the nation’s security.
Condemnation of Pakistani Aggression and Call for National Unity
While praising India’s military response, Bhagwat also condemned the Pakistani army’s attacks on religious places and civilian settlements along the border. He expressed his deepest condolences to the families of victims affected by these inhumane attacks. Bhagwat appealed to Indian citizens to stand united during this national crisis, urging them to follow government instructions and refrain from being swayed by anti-national forces that seek to disrupt social harmony.
He called on citizens to demonstrate their patriotism by cooperating with the army and local administration in ensuring national security and unity. Bhagwat also emphasized the importance of supporting efforts to maintain peace and unity, stressing that every individual’s contribution was essential during these challenging times.
The RSS chief’s message came shortly after India’s counter-offensive against Pakistani drones and missiles that targeted military installations across Indian cities. In retaliation, the Indian armed forces struck Pakistani air defence systems, specifically targeting installations in Lahore, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing tension between the two nations.
